By choosing a genre such as hip-hop, Twista and Faith know that mostly teenagers and young adults are going to be listening. Teenagers are the target audience for this song. Throughout the entire song, Twista and Faith Evans sing about many aspects of the world in hopes of making it a better place. She is trying to claim that as long as people have faith, everything will be okay and work out in the end. By saying he’ll, Faith is referring to God. She also says that "he’ll make a way" (Twista-Hope). This means that they want to start changing the world today and not wait until tomorrow. In the chorus, Faith says that she’s "hopeful for today" (Twista-Hope). In the verses Twista discusses problems such as poverty, crime, war, depression, relationships, and terrorism. He wishes that "his homies wouldn’t suffer", his "grandmother wasn’t sick", that "we could keep achieving wonders", and "that we only saw good news every time we looked at CNN" (Twista-Hope). From that point on he says what he wishes for in life. He admits that he is not a totally great person because the very first line of the song states "I wish the way I was living could stop" (Twista-Hope). In Twista’s parts he talks about his life and everything that he hopes for in it. In the song Hope, Twista sings the verses and Faith sings the choruses. In the song Hope, Twista and Faith Evans discuss the problems that the world faced in 2004 and they try to spread the word about being hopeful, in order to solve the problems. Hope was on Twista’s seventh album, Kamikaze, which had over two million dollars in sales. Together, in 2004, they sang a song by the name of Hope. Faith Evans is an R&B singer, songwriter and producer from Florida. The Guinness Book Of World Records named him the world’s fastest rapper more than a decade ago. He is considered to be one of the fastest rappers in hip-hop history. ![]()
